The Alchemist is a wonderfully simple story of the adventure of a young shepherd named Santiago, who wants to change his luck to travel to Egypt, where he believes that it is the place where he will get the precious treasure in the Pyramid.
On his journey to the Egypt, Santiago meets so many people from so many different places, cultures and background. This valuable “treasure” makes him able to understand better so many things that he did not know earlier in his former life of a simple shepherd. One important thing in the journey is that he finally meets the love of his life, as important as his meeting with the Alchemist, who is able to turn metal into gold.
The shocking thing from the whole story and adventure is that Santiago finally finds nothing in the Pyramid in Egypt. Instead, he finds his treasure in the doorstep of his own house back home.
